Dominique Lando, MFT has been in private practice as a psychotherapist since 2004. She is the co-founder of Anam Cara Therapy Center in Berkeley, a community based holistic collective with a strong emphasis on somatic and expressive art therapeutic modalities. Her foundation is in somatic work, primarily in the Hakomi body-centered experiential method of psychotherapy, which is rooted in mindfulness. She also integrates EMDR and sensorimotor techniques. Her approach is greatly informed by Ecopsychology, Permaculture, Nature-based spirituality, Jungian psychology and Buddhist principles.

Dominique has been teaching at CIIS since 2011 and also has taught at JFK University and Sophia University. She runs groups and supervises interns.

She is from France and was raised in many cultures abroad which informs her multi-cultural perspective. She holds a wide lens for the purpose of psychotherapy, blending her background of community development, activism and East Asian studies with her current focus on ecological awareness.
