Albert Wong, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist and somatics educator with longstanding interests in the intersection of embodiment, trauma, and scalable technology. He served as residential staff at the Esalen Institute for five years and was educated at Princeton, Oxford, and the University of Tennessee. His somatic practice is deeply informed by his time at the Esalen Institute, in particular, Gestalt Practice in the tradition of Dick Price. In recent years, he has developed a fascination with scalable forms of group somatic practice as vehicles for trauma healing and social change. He maintains a private practice centered around somatic psychotherapy in San Rafael, California. He also teaches in the somatic psychology program at JFK University and is the Founder of the online educational platform, Somatopia (www.somatopia.com) where he offers online training in the areas of embodiment, trauma healing, and somatic psychology. One of his aspirations is to make the wisdom of embodiment accessible to all.
