Nakhter Ahad

People often come to therapy for help with troubling parts of themselves or their outer world. Sometimes we find our coping strategies wearing thin or we crave deeper, more harmonious relationship with aspects of ourselves.

I believe that with the right support, transformation is what happens naturally. I aim to create a warm environment where exploration is held safely, and harm can digest into healing.

My background in teaching, practicing bodywork and a decade in mindfulness practices all influence my view on therapy; they underline for me the importance of including the body in our moment-to-moment experiences as a part of moving toward wholeness.

I am an immigrant, queer, and an artist. These identities helped me become familiar with the huge potential for healing that exists on the margins. I love working with folks of many backgrounds.
