Oakland Hills
false MM/DD/YYYY

Ecoutearth is a combination of mindfulness, ecopsychology, and expressive arts. Mindfulness is a practice of bringing our awareness into the present moment. When we add ecopsychology to mindfulness it becomes a practice of noticing our own experience as well as the experience of the environment around us. When we add expressive arts it brings in a new way of relating by studying and becoming present through action. Ecoutearth is about spending time in nature and taking time to listen with all of your senses to what is around you. Listen with your heart, your ears, your eyes, your toes and feet, your nose. Listen with your whole being. In this way we invite you to join in slowing down and listening to the earth, to ourselves in the earth, on the earth and with the earth.

We invite you to join us.
Feel free to come for all or part of the time. Find below the breakdown of our experience:

3:00 pm: gather and introduction to ecoutearth
3:30-4:30: ecoutearth experiential
4:30-5:00: sharing our experiences and community interaction

Bring yourselves, all of your senses and anything you need to feel and be comfortable for a couple of hours outdoors. Listening to the earth can open into an exploration of creativity and we invite you to bring anything that may facilitate this for you including art supplies and/or a journal.

Ecoutearth gatherings are a free offering to facilitate an ever changing dialogue with the earth and each other. If you are so inclined to offer a donation to our development of this movement, feel free to do so. All donations will go directly into the flourishing of Ecoutearth.

Ecoutearth can happen anywhere at anytime. Karina and Nikyta will offer monthly gatherings on the first Sunday of the month from 3-5pm. For one year we will spend time in the same location in Joaquin Miller Redwoods. Feel free to create your own Ecoutearth moments and invite others to join you.

At the Stop Sign, LEFT onto Lincoln Ave
Continue straight over the highway. Lincoln Ave turns into Joaquin Miller Rd.
The road will wind up the hill. At the first light, turn LEFT onto Skyline Blvd. Again, follow signs for Chabot Space and Science Center.
From the bottom of Skyline Blvd it will be 1.1 miles until you reach the pull-out area where we are meeting for the day.

If you reach Chabot Space and Science Center you have gone too far.
If there is room, pull your car over to the left of the road to park for the day. It is legal to leave your car in this area. If the area is full, you can find spaces on the right side of the road across from the clearing.
