Integrative Health Studies is pleased to announce that we will be part of a group from CIIS at the Uhuru Health Festival in Oakland CA in late April.

Valerie Tookes, a current student, and Chanda Williams, a graduate of the program, will provide free demonstrations of health coaching. ACTC at CIIS will provide free ear acupuncture.

The Uhuru Health Festival will be held at the Uhuru House at 7911 MacArthur Blvd, on April 28, 2018, from 11am to 4pm. The health festival is a community event addressing the serious economic disparities that horribly impact the health and well-being of the African community in Oakland and worldwide. The Health Festival will have free health screenings, CPR classes, free kids' activities, free interactive fitness workshops, free healthy foods, health presentations from health professionals on issues such as hypertension, diabetes, mental health, colon and prostate health, in-home care, access to fresh produce and more. We hope you will stop by if you are in the area.
