Ecology, Spiritualty, and Religion PhD candidate Kim Carefore recently had an essay titled "Doing Theology with Snakes: Face-to-Face with the Wholly Other" published in the book Encountering Earth: Thinking Theologically With a More-Than-Human World, a collection giving voice to the interdependence of theology, non-human creatures, and particular places.
Of the collection, Carfore says "other prominent scholars in the field of religion and ecology and animals and religion are in the anthology, including: Celia Deane-Drummond, Laura Hobgood, Heather Eaton, Grace Kao, and Chris Carter. Some of us presented our chapters of the anthology at last year's AAR in the Animals in Religion group."
