We were very excited to see that Holistic Primary Care—the leading trade journal for the integrative medicine field—has published an article about the national certification for health coaches. It describes clearly and simply how the exam was developed, and what training programs and schools need to do to create graduates who are eligible to sit for the exam.
We are proud that our graduates are eligible for this national certification (NBC–HWC). We are also proud that Dr. Meg Jordan, our program chair, helped develop this national standard for health and wellness coaches. You will see her featured in the article, which was written by Kristen Schepker, an Integrative Health Studies graduate and Holistic Primary Care's assistant editor.
