Dear CIIS Community,

We woke up today to discover that while the horrible, divisive, xenophobic election season is over we are not experiencing a moment when we can put it behind us and move on. We clearly live in a country, and a world, divided. Some of those divisions we recognize, others we struggle to fathom. As we cope with what we have seen and heard and fear for the future we can, I think, find strength in our CIIS community. Today at noon there will be a healing circle in room 302.

I think we start by looking inward at what we believe in our hearts and our heads and what we can do as healers and believers in an integral vision to build bridges, compassion, and understanding. It was a vision of a world less divided and more at peace that led to the creation of CIIS. Today, almost 50 years later, that remains a vision for the future that we cannot let slide.

See you at noon.
