We are pleased to announce that in response to requests from students around the world, starting next fall we will offer our award-winning and renowned master's program in a hybrid model.
Each of the four semesters will begin with a six-day academic residency at the EarthRise retreat center 45 minutes north of San Francisco. We will start each day with yoga, tai chi, and meditation. Then, we will share a breakfast prepared in an organic kitchen with locally sourced foods. We will spend the morning in rigorous academic study with faculty, colleagues, and mentors. The lunch break will include a hike in the hills. In the afternoon, we will study for three more hours, and after dinner we will have non-academic evening programs to present HeartMath, sound healing, subtle energy medicine modalities, community activism and health advocacy, and to share life skills and talents. One day, as part of the coursework, we will take a trip to the local sustainable farm. After the retreat, from wherever they are in the world, students and faculty will continue to teach and study online using our collaborative, robust, video-assisted learning platform.
Each retreat will cost $750-800 for each student for meals and a shared sleeping room. The dates of the retreats for the 2017-2018 academic year are September 11-16, 2017 and January 20-25, 2018.
We are excited to be able to prepare top-level integrative health practitioners and health coaches in this innovative model, and honored that the program design has WSCUC accreditation.
