The Human Sexuality PhD program was pleased to learn that student Bo Frank presented on LGBTQIA issues in the classroom portion of the social justice summit organized by the Hawaii State Teachers Association on March 3, 2018. Bo led two fifty-minute breakout sessions and sat on an open panel for discussion as well. Bo wrote, "I was really excited to educate my peers, fellow Hawaii state teachers, about the challenges that their LGBTQIA students face. I offered suggestions on how to begin to advocate for and create inclusive classrooms and schools."
