Launched as a response to the growing social and economic barriers that plague the trans community, Trans*H4CK shifts the ways trans*, gender non conforming, agender and non binary people live by creating technology that economically empowers, improves access to social services, and promotes gender safety and community sustainability....all while bringing visibility to trans* tech innovators and entrepreneurs.

Come and get the behind-the-scenes story as Dr. Kortney Ziegler shares what the inspiration and process were behind developing the first tech hackathon for the transgender community.

Dr. Kortney Ziegler, cofounder of BlackStarMedia (which produces Trans*H4CK), is an Oakland based award winning artist, writer, filmmaker, activist and entrepreneur. He has produced dozens of films, is the director of the multiple award winning documentary, STILL BLACK, and was named one of the most influential African Americans by TheRoot100. Kortney's best friend is a tiny dog named Dough.
