- 10:00 am to 11:30 am
- Online with Kerubo Abuya, PhD, and current student, Jenna Wes
In this Special Event, as part of the “Soul Talk” Series, we want to explore the role of creativity in the formation of new leadership roles that offer solutions to systemic problems that challenge the well-being of so many around the globe. Especially in times of crisis, we are desperately in need of new worldviews that bring about more holistically oriented perspectives, and offer opportunities to empower our intrinsic capacities for creativity, healing, and transformation. We will take a more intimate look at the work of Dr Kerubo Abuya, as a transformational leader, in applying systems thinking and transformative pedagogies to support, enhance, and empower the leaders of a new age of hope. Let us explore together how we can envision a more hopeful future. Joining us in this event will be Jenna Wes, a current student of the Transformative Leadership program, here at CIIS.
Kerubo Abuya, PhD, is Principal with Empower Change Leadership Circle, LLC. She is an organizational, leadership, change and transformation scholar-practitioner. As a social scientist, educator and activist-scholar, she utilizes transformative pedagogies and interventions to develop or enhance leaders’ capacity to lead transformative social systems change and cultural transformation. She is also a consultant, coach, and volunteers at the Tabaka Ward Uongozi Wa Utu community based organization in Kenya and the Federation of Women’s Groups, where she serves as the Programme Director and Principal Researcher.
