Kearny Street Workshop, in collaboration with California Institute of Integral Studies, presents Interdisciplinary Writers Lab (IWL), a 3-month, multi-genre master class for local writers of color, scheduled for summer, 2016. IWL is a unique program that challenges emerging writers to thoroughly explore and develop their writing skills and styles across multiple genres.

Instructors: Regina Louise, Brynn Saito, Ronaldo Wilson
Thursday evenings, June 2 - Aug 18, 2016; Final Reading: TBA
Classroom Instruction will take place at CIIS Main Campus, 1453 Mission St. SF

Take the next step in your writing life! Explore and develop your writing in 12 workshops led by 3 established, community-based writers. Work across genres, share and perform your work, publish in an online and print anthology, and create a communal network of writing peers in this unique, innovative, and interdisciplinary writing lab.

*Although IWL accepts applications from all interested students, the focus of this program has always been geared towards artists and writers of color, as this level of instruction has not always been available for these communities. It’s our hope that the students’ engagement in this program will prompt the further development of their craft.

IWL is a collaboration between Kearny Street Workshop and the MFA programs at California Institute of Integral Studies
