Moore edited Anthropocene or Capitalocene? Nature, History, and the Crisis of Capitalism, and is the author of Capitalism in the Web of Life: Ecology and the Accumulation of Capital. Anthropocene, Capitalocene, and the Origins of Our Ecological Crisis

April 13th, 7:00pm  - 9:00pm
The End of Cheap Nature? Cheap Food, Runaway Finance, and the Deadly Climates of Capital

Each of the lectures will be recorded, transcribed, and later published in a forthcoming book. The lectures will take place in the CIIS Desai Matta Lobby Gallery each night. 


Jason W. Moore, an environmental historian and historical geographer, is associate professor of Sociology at Binghamton University. He is author or editor of seven books, most recently Anthropocene or Capitalocene? (PM Press, 2016),  Capitalism in the Web of Life (Verso, 2015), and with Raj Patel, A History of the World in Seven Cheap Things (University of California, Press, 2017). He coordinates the World-Ecology Research Network and blogs at https://jasonwmoore.wordpress.com/. Many of his essays are available at www.jasonwmoore.com.
