Thursday, November 20: "Home is in the Heart" (dir. Ozlem Ayse Ozgur), plus a documentary about the Oak/Scott intersection.

This is the sneak preview of the fine cut of Ozlem Ayse Ozgur's "Home is in The Heart" a documentary about  a community who lived in the Albany Bulb. The residents tell us what it means to live in the Albany Bulb, why they live there, what they wish from the local governments to do. The city of Albany gave a decision to evict them and the residents fought against it in legal ways but at the end they lost the fight. This is a short story about their struggle and how they feel about the eviction. PLUS: A short film about one intersection, of Oak and Scott streets, in San Francisco.

The Incite/Insight Film Series is a project of The New Nothing Cinema, Shaping San Francisco (www.shapingsf.org), and the Department of Anthropology and Social Change at CIIS.
