Pablo Garcia earned a B.A. in Sociology from the University of San Francisco in 1998. Currently, he is a M.A. candidate at Cal State LA, California. Queer theory and sexual identity as they apply to English language instructors informs his current research interests. He was recently awarded a competitive research grant and presented the culmination of his preliminary analysis at the Student Research and Creative Arts Conference on Gender and Sexualities in April 2016. He also attended and co-presented a content-based project at the Master's Student Forum, TESOL International Convention and Language Expo in Baltimore, MD in April 2016. Pablo's master's thesis considers the subject of LGBTQ identified English language instructors and factors affecting sexual identity in the classroom. He is an active student member of TESOL International, National Education Association, CATESOL, and California Teacher Association.
