A talk by Michael Guy Thompson, PhD

Drawing from his recent book, THE DEATH OF DESIRE, Michael Guy Thompson will review common features between existential philosophy and psychoanalysis, and how his work with the Scottish anti-psychiatrist, R. D. Laing, in the 1970s, shaped his clinical philosophy. He will highlight the complicated nature of freedom in psychodynamic therapy.
