Purushottama Bilimoria

Purushottama Bilimoria, Ph.D. is Honorary Assoc. Professor in Philosophy at Deakin University, and Honorary Fellow, University of Melbourne, Australia; Visiting Professor and Lecturer at University of California, Berkeley. He has held teaching positions and research fellows in Oxford, Harvard, Emory, Columbia, Stony Brook Universities, and The Indian Institute of Advanced Studies in Shimla, 2012. His research and publications cover classical Indian philosophy, comparative ethics; Continental thought; cross-cultural philosophy of religion; testimony; emotions; bioethics, religion and Indian law. He is an Editor-in-Chief of Sophia, Journal of Philosophy of Religion, Metaphysical Theology and Ethics; co-editor of Sophia Series in Cross-cultural Studies of Philosophy and Traditions (Springer).
