In this intensive we will explore the shadow self and the impact trauma has had on our health and perspective, how to shift it with understanding so as to develop Self-awareness, and how, as a result, we develop the empathy necessary so as show up in the world with more compassion, connectivity and love. Seane will start with a discussion about the three realms of consciousness - physical/mental, energetic/emotional and psychic/symbolic. Learning to work with these realms helps us understand and heal our limited beliefs, destructive patterns and self-sabotaging addictions that keep us stuck in "self." Exploring the connection of the body/mind and the impact our thoughts and experiences have on our health, we can begin to locate, listen to and interpret the struggles and attachments we experience, and explore how we can turn them into wisdom, power, truth and understanding. Seane will then teach a beginning-level yoga class, in order to ground and anchor the physical body, helping us to release tension, tightness, blocks and open our energy centers. Through an embodied yoga practice, in addition to emotional and creative processing, we can learn how to read our own bodies and "see" more clearly into our body energy and wisdom, bringing all realms into greater balance.
Part asana, part discussion. All levels welcome!
