Karen Cooper, and Dan Muller have been involved as guides in the study of entheogens within a highly scientific research project. They are currently conducting a psychedelic study at the University of Wisconsin. In preparation for this work, as well as during the unfolding of this experience, fundamental questions arose for them in considering the revival of working with entheogens within the medical system. These included:
- What is the proper structure for using entheogens as therapy?
- What is consciousness? What is non-physical reality?
- What is the relationship between meditation and entheogen experiences?
- What is the map versus the territory of these experiences?
In this presentation Cooper and Muller will explore some of these questions with you, both theoretically and experientially. This is the inaugural presentation sponsored by the new Center for Psychedelic Psychotherapies and Research at CIIS.
