ODI's brownbag lunch series have served as a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together in an open, informal way, to begin to see the people behind the names and the roles they perform at our school. Also, we have invited former students who have moved on to do great work in the community. We have heard our guests stories and wisdom, and have been enriched by their words. Dean of Diversity and Inclusion, Denise Boston, holds a kind and attentive space in which she asks questions aimed at really seeing the guest, and allowing their life's work to shine through the anecdotes, stories and impressions they bring with them. It is our hope that we can represent a wide variety of perspectives in our future brownbag lunches, and that we continue to get to know each other more through these dialogues.
