Lauren's favorite quote is, "It wasn't as she had planned; it was perfect instead" (Byron Katie). One of her most transformative unplanned life events was receiving a diagnosis of Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis in early 2015. Through mindfulness practice, therapy, laughter, amazing friendships, and great mentors, she's had some pretty awesome spiritual shifts in the process of managing life with the disease. This January Lauren launches a podcast on full-hearted living with chronic illness called "This Is Not What I Ordered" (www.thisisnotwhatiordered.com). Lauren is the Associate Director of Student Affairs overseeing Disability Services at CIIS and also has a psychotherapy practice working with couples and individuals as a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. Lauren is proud to have earned an M.A. from the ICP program and holds an M.Ed. in Social Justice Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
