Becky Thompson - Teaching With Tenderness: A Workshop For Faculty

In this workshop Becky will share her experiences and best practices for fostering an inclusive, generous, and embodied classroom. There will be interactive and experiential opportunities for faculty to reflect on their teaching styles, and how to become more fluid, sensitive, and effective with students around trauma and difference.

Becky Thompson Ph.D. is a scholar, poet, activist, mother, and yoga teacher. She is the author of Teaching with Tenderness, Survivors on the Yoga Mat, and several other books on social justice, trauma and healing. Becky is Professor of Sociology at Simmons University and teaches yoga internationally.
