Visual Artist & Writer
A cheerful and uplifting description of my personal history would be something like: As a brash youth I left home in the provinces to seek my fortune in the city. There I was set upon by rogues and thieves, gained assistance from unexpected quarters and through pluck and daring won the prize so many artists only dream of: a life of unmitigated toil at the helm of obscurity. Whether I'd retired young after making my millions in penguin oil or had sunken into abject poverty spending my days teaching endangered animals to read, would the drawings look any different?
