Interdisciplinary Arts

I value intimate art, unexpected nearnesses between two or more unlikely images, sensations, media or social formations. I am drawn to spaces that straddle such proximities, particularly to those that surprise and humble me with a deep sense of resonance, connection and possibility. I am currently investigating how merging and spanning spaces between literature and dance draw forth conversations of how hidden, sensitive, tabooed, yet utterly human experiences undergo liberatory shifts in the midst of forces occupying oppressive nearnesses themselves, such as patriarchy, racism, medicalization and commodification.
