Jacqueline Hermida, PD, MS, LMHC, C-IAYT, has over a decade of experience teaching and counseling individuals of all ages and abilities. Through a person-centered approach and the integration of eastern and western modalities that subtly culminate into a unified paradigm, individuals are guided and empowered to self-actualize.
In her western training, Jacqueline has earned three distinct master's degrees in clinical mental health counseling, special education, and educational administration; she is a licensed psychotherapist who has been clinically trained in both psychodynamic and humanistic orientations. In her eastern training, she began her journey through studying the martial arts with particular attention to wing chun, qigong, and tai chi. This led to the practice of meditation and yoga where she completed MBSR trainings and two in-depth 500-hour teacher training programs; she is also a certified yoga therapist. These transformative practices have opened the doors into the world of energy medicine where she currently studies natural healing processes and receives ongoing training.
Currently, Jacqueline is the director of wellness at St. Joseph's College Counseling and Wellness Center and maintains her private practice where she offers psychotherapy, yoga therapy, mindfulness meditation training, energy medicine, and various wellness educational programs. Jacqueline continues to integrate both western and eastern training methods through continual study and to practice applying alternative healing methods from these foundational teachings.
