Yes. ACTCM is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and is approved by the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) as a degree-granting institution. In addition, the program is approved by the California Acupuncture Board, which allows our graduates to sit for the California state exam.

Yes. For those interested in Chinese medicine, but not quite ready to embark on a master's degree, ACTCM offers several introductory courses that are open to the general public. Classes include: Understanding Chinese Medicine, A Nutritional Approach to Herbs & Healing, Introduction to Daoist Nutrition, Introduction to Tai Chi, Dayan QiGong, and Ba Duan Jin Shaolin QiGong among others. Yes. The college is aware that many students are balancing their personal lives, work, and school while attending ACTCM. By offering day and evening classes on an accelerated, full-, ¾-, or ½-time basis, ACTCM is able to offer flexible scheduling to accommodate those with other commitments.
ACTCM has scheduled courses so that students in the standard full-time program of study will only have classes on Monday through Wednesday for the first 7 quarters of the program so that they can better plan for family and work commitments.
Yes. ACTCM is affiliated with the Yue Yang Hospital at Shanghai University and the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Hangzhou. Study abroad trips are run every year between the winter and spring quarters.
In addition to ACTCM's on-site community clinic, the college maintains numerous partnerships with local hospitals and clinics. These alliances provide ACTCM interns with the opportunity to do clinical rotations in diverse integrative care settings.
Classes begin four times a year during the first week of October, January, April, and July.
Applications are processed on a rolling basis. However, we suggest you begin the application process three to six months prior to your preferred start date. Under special circumstances we are able to process applications closer to the start of each quarter.
All students are required to meet the following requirements for admission:
• A minimum of 90 semester or 135 quarter units from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent
• A 3.0 GPA (GPA's under 3.0 may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis.)
• Submission of a completed Application for Admission
• Completion of an interview with the Admissions Committee
