Satisfies art requirement. This is a poetry class for anyone interested in the poetics of engagement. We will look at poetry across time and cultures to understand how poetry is used to resist, rejoice, and express the self. Student will also have a chance to write, share, and receive feedback on their creative work. This is a class for both poetry lovers and poetry haters. It is an opportunity to understand why and how poetry matters. BIS student
