Course Descriptions

This course introduces students to Western medical terminology used to describe body structures, surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, symptoms and diseases. The course focuses on the component parts of medical terms: prefixes, suffixes and root words. There is an emphasis on definitions, spelling and pronunciation.
