Course Descriptions

This course will study the art of the Islamic world stretching culturally from Arabia through North Africa, Spain and Persia to South Asia, Central Asia and Turkey; and historically from the 7th to the 18th c., with a view to understanding the exchange and adaptation of ideas and styles through the Islamic cosmopolis.
