Acupuncture Technique II

This course provides students with a wide range of acupuncture treatment skills that serve as a foundation for the clinical practice phase of the program, and helps students develop confidence as practitioners. Students learn how to administer treatment by practicing point location and needling techniques on one another in preparation for treating patients in the clinic. Specialized acupuncture skills are taught including pricking bleeding, through-and-through, seven-star needle, guasha and dermal tacks, and advanced needling techniques, such as reinforcing/reducing techniques, and other classical techniques will be discussed and practiced. Each class meeting wiill start with a basic discussion of the relatred theory, and then half of the time will be hands-on practical training. ACM5323
