It was a beautiful evening filled with profound connection, authentic appreciation, inspiring presentations, and great food!

In addition to commemorating the university’s founders and the genesis of integral education in the West, it was a pleasure to honor tabla virtuoso and composer, Zakir Hussain. Zakir's contribution to music has been unique, with many historic collaborations, and it was our privilege to recognize him with the Haridas and Bina Chaudhuri Award for Distinguished Service due to his extraordinary achievements as a musician, composer, and cultural ambassador.

Other highlights included an invocation by award-winning composer Silvia Nakkach, and musical entertainment by Aushim Chaudhuri and Brian Wallace.

This year’s event raised $24,000 towards the completion of the Haridas and Bina Chaudhuri Library Collection at CIIS, which will include all books on Indian philosophy from the ancient period to Aurobindo. We are especially grateful to our table sponsors for their generous support: American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shan and Kimi Bhattacharya, Cultural Integration Fellowship, Ashok Narasimhan, Shipra Chaudhuri Narruhn, Rita Chaudhuri Pease, Renuka Prasad Relan, Technology Credit Union, Union Bank, and Vartain Law Group.
