| A Voice Celebration: Devotional Singing
Deva Premal and Miten
The singing voice is a powerful healing instrument, yet in these days of radio, television, and recorded music, it lies dormant in many of us.
This workshop is for people who have a longing to sing from their hearts, a longing to sing "yes!" to life, a longing to express gratitude, and a longing to open the door to their own inner being and inner peace. In a safe and nurturing environment, you will explore the voice through chanting ancient and sacred mantras and indigenous songs. Whether you are a novice or more seasoned practitioner of vocal sound, this workshop will allow you to feel the uplifting sensation of harmony and to deepen the awareness of your voice melting with others as you enter a state of undiluted bliss.
| Deva Premal is a classically trained musician and singer, born in Germany, who grew up in an atmosphere of Eastern spirituality. Miten, originally from England, began as a singer-songwriter-guitarist in the 1970s, opening for such groups as Fleetwood Mac and Ry Cooder. When he discovered the power of meditation, he left the world of rock ‘n’ roll behind to explore sacred sound. Together, Deva Primal and Miten’s concerts have touched the hearts of seekers across the world, and their albums have topped New Age charts in Europe, Australia, and the United States. |
