in
the Face of Adversity
Wendy Palmer
While the mind is able to comprehend what is needed to create
more skillful interactions in the world, it often cannot do
what it understands so clearly on a cognitive level. The body,
therefore, often needs to be trained so that it can tap into
the latent power of unconditional love that exists in every
person, and in the process, manifest this understanding out
into the world.
In this workshop, using techniques derived from aikido, a
nonaggressive martial art, and the 5,000-year-old practice
of meditation, you will learn to cultivate your natural healing
power and to increase your capacity for wisdom, confidence,
and happiness. Workshop participants will use breath, energy
balancing techniques, visualizations, and partner work to
awaken the inherent ability to be stable, relaxed, and generous
under pressure.
