Poet Tamam Kahn, an American Sufi, tells the stories
of the early women of Islam—the “Mothers of the
Faithful”— who were instrumental in the formation
of a faith that now sustains millions throughout the world.

Kahn is a poet who has traveled extensively
through India and North Africa. She has read her
poetry at the Rumi Festival in Chapel Hill, North
Carolina, and throughout the San Francisco Bay
Area. Her poetry is available on the CD White
