SPECIAL EVENT

TRAVEL TO AUROVILLE, INDIA

with California Institute of Integral Studies

January 13–28, 2006

Join us as CIIS embarks on its annual trip to Auroville, the universal township in India that like the Institute was founded on the integral vision of philosopher and sage Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. This trip affords travelers the rare opportunity to experience firsthand integral spirituality.

Trip highlights include:

• Day trips to Pondicherry, home of the Sri Aurobindo ashram, and Chidambaram, the site of Tandava, the cosmic dance of Shiva as Nataraja.
• Three days in picturesque Mamallapuram, the 7th century city on the Bay of Bengal, with visits to the sacred city of Kanchipuram and a nearby bird sanctuary.
• Daily yoga classes and instruction in mindfulness meditation.
• Talks on Sri Aurobindo and The Mother by renowned CIIS faculty and President Emeritus Robert McDermott.
