Ruth Terrill’s collage work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally; she has shown in group exhibitions at museums, including the Grand Palais Museum in Paris, France, as well as in solo and group exhibitions at colleges, universities, and art centers throughout the United States. Terrill has received numerous awards, including a Carnegie Fellowship, and her work has been published as magazine illustrations, and book and album covers. Terrill creates surrealistic, dream-like collages that deal with existential and metaphysical themes. By modifying and combining pieces of pictures found in everyday sources, she creates collages that allow her to explore the possibilities for seeing life from a more transcendental perspective. The collages in this exhibit were planned as a series of small-scale works. Return
