The Emerging Artist Exhibition affords the opportunity for three artists from the Bay Area community to display their work, as well as receive financial support for exhibit materials through the Phyllis Jackson Memorial Fund for the Arts. Phyllis Jackson was a member of the CIIS senior administrative staff and worked as director of communications from 1990 to 1998. She was also an accomplished painter whose work has been exhibited at a number of galleries throughout California.

Memorial Fund for the Arts

The Phyllis Jackson Memorial Fund for the Arts promotes and celebrates the arts at California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and within the San Francisco Bay Area community. Created in 2003 in honor of CIIS staff member and artist Phyllis Jackson, the fund assists emerging artists, underwrites art exhibitions, and encourages art education.
