Flora Davis has been combining her art with meditation for more than 16 years. She received an MFA in Painting from Summit University in Louisiana. For seven years Davis taught graphic design and basic design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in the Bay Area and in New York. In The Way Davis expresses the joy of being in the moment—with all its unpredictability, excitement, frustrations, and awareness—as the mind vacillates between control and letting go. She works spontaneously with the surface of metals, creating unexpected patterns of shape, color, and texture.
