Spirit in the Arts at California Institute of Integral Studies celebrates creativity and the divine. Informed by Eastern and Western artistic traditions, Spirit in the Arts offers art exhibits, lectures, and workshops that integrate the spiritual and the aesthetic aspects of the human experience.

This spring Spirit in the Arts is hosting three remarkable group shows: our annual Emerging Artist Exhibition; Hilos de la Vida (The Threads of Life), celebrating folk art by Mexican immigrant workers; and an exhibit cosponsored by the Lucid Art Foundation that traces the early history and influence of CIIS’s integral philosophy through the work of several artists. In addition to these group shows, CIIS is showcasing three solo exhibits by women artists who explore the impact of spirituality on their lives through very distinct art styles.

Join Spirit in the Arts in witnessing the creative process through the works of artists who are expanding the boundaries of art’s place in society.
