Spirit in the Arts at California Institute of Integral Studies celebrates creativity and the divine. Informed by Eastern and Western artistic traditions, Spirit in the Arts offers art exhibits, lectures, and workshops that integrate the spiritual and the aesthetic aspects of the human experience.
Spirit in the Arts’ fall line-up of exhibits provides a provocative worldview on current social and cultural issues affecting our global community. The art covers a wide range of topics, including environmental and political devastation, a painter’s perspective on language, and an examination of sense of place through musical composition. The artists in this series are balanced on the edge of light and shadow, challenging the viewer’s sense of reality, and affirming the power of art as an agent of change.
Join Spirit in the Arts in witnessing
the creative process through the works of
artists who are expanding the boundaries
of art’s place in society.
