Welcome—

Spirit in the Arts at California Institute of Integral Studies celebrates creativity and affirms the power of art as an agent of change. Through art exhibits and events, Spirit in the Arts offers contemporary perspectives that integrate the spiritual, psychological, and aesthetic dimensions of life.

Welcome to our Spring 2008 arts programming in which we bring another season of fresh and diverse viewpoints on creativity. We have been graced during the last few years to collaborate with many arts organizations who are breathing new life into what art can offer us in this fast-paced world. These partners include such notables as the Oakland Craft and Cultural Arts Gallery, Pacific Center for Book Arts, Lucid Art Foundation, and greenmuseum.org.

This spring is no exception as we cosponsor exhibits with Creativity Explored and ArtHouse, and feature Australian Aboriginal art, mixed media art by James Montgomery and Tanya Wilkinson, acrylics by Priyanka Gupta, and our annual Emerging Artists exhibit, now in its fifth year.

From costume, time, storytelling, and dreams, a variety of concepts find their way to our walls and grace us with their ability to find expression through imagination and story.
