Following the Thread of Desire
Adriana Marchione and
Mark Fromm
Many of us move through our lives with a nagging sense that
the "good life" is just around the corner, if only
we could find that certain something (wealth, job, house)
or someone (partner, guru, mentor) to help us obtain it. Unfortunately,
this constant yearning and focus on what is missing in our
lives can actually become a barrier to the very happiness
we are seeking. Worse, it can become our tormentor, resulting
in obsessive patterns or addictions to certain substances,
people, and behaviors.
In this informational and experiential workshop, we will
take the time to search for the sense of "be-longing"
that lies on the other side of longing. Through a unique process,
which includes lecture and discussion, group sharing, art
and movement exploration, and psycho-logical and spiritual
approaches, this workshop will offer effective methods toward
understanding desire.
