THE EARTH PATH:
GIVING SPIRIT ROOTS

Starhawk

Many of us who practice “earth-based spirituality” are not indigenous to the land we live on, and our myths and deities arise from other places. Yet we can learn to have a deepened relationship with real air, fire, water, earth—real inspiration, passion, emotion, and embodiment—as we move around the magic circle of the elements. The place of transformation and change appears in the shift in our thinking from a focus on isolated objects to a focus on relationship.

In this workshop, Starhawk teaches you to use the tools of observation, awareness, and magic—the art of changing consciousness at will--to deepen connections with the natural world, and to create the myths and rituals that can bring them into harmony with the full community, human and beyond-human.

Starhawk is the author or coauthor of nine books, including The Spiral Dance, long considered the essential text for the Neo-Pagan movement, and the now-classic ecotopian novel The Fifth Sacred Thing. Her latest book is Earth Path: Grounding Your Spirit in the Rhythms of Nature. Starhawk is a veteran of progressive movements and deeply committed to bringing the techniques and creative power of spirituality to political activism. She travels internationally teaching magic, the tools of ritual, and the skills of activism.
