YOGA
OF THE VOICE:
DEVOTION, HEALING,
AND TRANSFORMATION
THROUGH SOUND
Silvia Nakkach
The yoga of the voice uses voice and sound as a gateway to
connect with our true energetic nature to access transformational
power at one's center. This workshop will explore the different
dimensions of the healing voice: the contemplative, the expressive,
the shamanic, and the ecstatic. Participants will embody the
quality of singing that transforms energy patterns, affecting
consciousness more efficiently than any other form of sound.
Through an original repertoire of breath, sound, movement,
and cross-cultural vocal techniques, developed by Silvia Nakkach
and considered landmarks in the field of music therapy, participants
will become familiar with the uses of the voice in yoga, alternative
medicine, energy healing, psychotherapy, and spiritual practice.
The repertoire will include universal healing mantras and
the Hindu tradition of sonorous yogas that clear the chakras
and stimulate the brain, awakening a joyous sense of well-being.
