| CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR
MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
Lifelong Learning is committed to bringing the highest quality
continuing education programs to mental health professionals.
We offer those classes required for renewal of your license
as well as courses designed to enhance your practice and deepen
your effectiveness with your clients.
MANDATORY CONTINUING EDUCATION (MCE) CREDIT
Psychologists: Lifelong Learning has been approved by the
American Psychological Association (APA) as a continuing education
provider. All but the first course in this section only are
approved for continuing education (CE) credits for clinical
psychologists. For purposes of this publication, 1 CEU corresponds
to one contact hour and is the equivalent of one CE credit
as defined by the APA.
MFTs, LCSWs, RNs: Lifelong Learning offers continuing
education units through the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS)
and the Board of Registered Nurses (BRN) for all of its courses
and workshops.
REGISTRATION, ATTENDANCE, AND CREDITS
To receive continuing education units (CEUs), please be sure
to give us your license number when you register.
In accordance with the regulations set forth by the APA,
BBS, and BRN, all participants must attend the entire course
in order to receive continuing education units. Absolutely
no partial credit will be granted.
At the conclusion of the course you will receive a CEU certificate
with the title, dates, location, instructor, and total CEUs
of the course.
APA: Lifelong Learning at CIIS is approved by the
American Psychological Association to offer continuing education
for psychologists. Lifelong Learning at CIIS maintains responsibility
for the program.
BBS: Lifelong Learning at CIIS is approved by the
Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) to provide mandatory continuing
education for California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapists
(MFT) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW). CIIS's
provider number is PCE 652. All individual courses listed
in this brochure meet the qualifications for specified hours
of continuing education credit for MFTs and LCSWs, as required
by the BBS.
BRN: Lifelong Learning at CIIS is approved by the
State of California Board of Registered Nurses (BRN) to provide
mandatory continuing education for California-licensed registered
nurses. CIIS's provider number is 02523. All individual courses
listed in this brochure meet the qualifications for specified
hours of continuing education credit for registered nurses,
as required by the BRN. |
