ART THAT AWAKENS
THE BUDDHA WITHIN

Jack Kornfield

For 2,000 years, the beauty of the Buddhist art found in the temples of Siam-Thailand invited all to discover the awakened heart. Buddhists believe that through art, ritual, story, and teaching, the Buddha's way comes alive, the heart is transformed, and our human capacity for passing courageously through difficulties is inspired.

Join renowned Buddhist teacher Jack Kornfield as he shares stories of life and initiation in the monasteries and forests of Thailand. Participants will taste the rituals, practice some of the essential meditations, and use the way of the Buddha to awaken a wise, free, and compassionate spirit, wherever they find themselves in life.

Jack Kornfield trained as a Buddhist monk in the monasteries of Thailand, India, and Burma. He is a founding teacher of the Insight Meditation Society and Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and has taught meditation internationally since 1974. Jack also holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and is a husband and father. His books include A Path with Heart and After the Ecstasy, the Laundry.
