THE HEART AND SOUL
OF JUSTICE

Isoke Femi, Yeshi Neumann,
and Arisika Razak

Celebrate identity, spirituality, and the desire for justice and peace. This workshop was designed to help you transform fears of difference into a courageous commitment to begin the practice of unlearning racism and building multicultural alliances. You will have the opportunity to examine the gifts and challenges of your lineage while exploring and reframing the misinformation that you have been given in regards to the "other."

This workshop is intended to be a transformative journey that brings together spirituality and activism, compassion and intellect, history and imagination. We will use drama, sacred play, liberation theory, ritual, and storytelling in an environment that fosters respect, healing, and personal liberation.

Isoke Femi, M.A., is a codirector of the Todos Sherover-Simms Alliance Building Institute and has led diver-sity workshops and trainings for more than 18 years. She has written extensively on internalized oppression, healing and alliance-building, and the intersections of race, class, gender, and sexual orientation.

Yeshi Sherover Neumann, M.A., CNM, MPH, has been a practicing midwife since 1970 and worked in settings from inner-city hospitals to the remote mountains of Nicaragua. Yeshi has taught conflict resolution, cross-cultural communication, and workshops addressing issues of social justice for more than 30 years. She is the codirector of the Women's National Leadership Project and the Multicultural Alliance Project.
