Cindy Shearer has a D.A. (Doctor of Arts)
in English from the State University of
New York at Albany and an M.A., concentration
in creative writing, from Antioch University
(London, England). She has been a teacher
of writing, literature, and the humanities
for more than 15 years teaching at McGregor
School–Antioch University (Yellow Springs,
Ohio), Mankato State University, Rollins
College, and the University of Southern
Maine. She has worked solely with adult
learners since 1991. She is a writer and
writing consultant and has been a small
business owner. Her interests include writing
as a fine art, the relationship of writing
to the visual arts, contemporary film and
popular literature.
