| Dr. Pettis Perry currently
serves as an Associate Professor and member
of the CIIS Adjunct Faculty where he teaches
graduate courses in transformative leadership
and change and facilitates a Learning Community
Cohort in the post-graduate Transformative
Learning and Change program. Dr. Perry is
on the full time faculty as an Assistant
Professor in the Department of Recreation
and Leisure Studies at San Jose State University
and is the emphasis coordinator for its
Leadership and Administration program. He
also serves as adjunct faculty for Chapman
University, Concord Campus, CA, where he
teaches graduate and undergraduate courses
in the Organizational Leadership program,
and Regis University, Denver, CO, where
he teaches graduate courses in the Nonprofit
Management program. Dr. Perry brings to
CIIS more than 30 years of experience as
a practitioner including 20 years of mid-
and senior-level management in one of the
world’s largest nonprofit organizations.
He earned his Doctorate in Organization
and Leadership as well as Masters Degree
in Nonprofit Administration at the University
of San Francisco. He also holds a Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Social Science (Research)
which he earned at San Francisco State University.
His primary research interests are in transformative
leadership, human potential, and organization
studies with an emphasis in nonprofits.
